What an order actually looks like.

The service fee goes on top of your menu price at checkout, so the whole menu subtotal is yours. Absorbing it is a setting, not a different plan.

You decide who pays the fee.

The 5% service fee is added to your customer's total at checkout by default, so your whole menu subtotal reaches you. To absorb some or all of it instead, change one setting called Fees Split in your dashboard. It is the same fee either way: only the side it lands on moves.

Why there is no monthly fee.

A fixed monthly bill punishes a slow week as much as a good one. When you sell a few trays in January, you shouldn't pay the same as when you cater every weekend in June.

So Skibble only earns when you do: a 5% service fee on what you sell, which your customer pays by default. No monthly bill, no setup fee, no contract, and nothing to cancel if you take a season off.

Cash and Interac e-Transfer count too.

An order paid in cash, by Interac e-Transfer or by bank transfer never touches a card processor, so the 5% has nothing to price. Record it in Skibble anyway: it counts in your sales, your costs and your margin, and every dollar of it stays with you.

Skibble adds no per-order fee to them today. If that ever changes, the number will be on this page.

Cash and e-Transfer: Canada for now.

Recording an order that was paid in cash or by bank transfer is Canadian for now. In the United States that part is still coming.

Nothing about the card rate changes with it: the same 5%, the same US$0.99 minimum, and the same monthly bill of nothing.

The other costs around an order.

Three of them, and none is a Skibble subscription. Here is how each one reaches you.

Delivery
The courier's quoted price is added to the order. Your customer pays it by default, and you can cover part of it in Fees Split.
Chargebacks
CA$40 per disputed payment. Disputes show in the Finance Manager with their response deadlines.
Payouts
Daily to your bank account by default. You can change the schedule.

What is the same in both countries, and what is not.

Skibble was built in Prince Edward Island and sells in the United States now. The rate is identical in both. These are the parts that are not, as they stand today.

One fee, instead of a stack of subscriptions.

Most food businesses stitch together a website builder, a pre-order tool, a ticketing app, a spreadsheet and an email tool, and pay a monthly bill for each. In Skibble they are the same place, on the same fee.

  • Instead of a website builder

    Storefront

A branded storefront you edit yourself, with a shareable link and a QR code.

  • Instead of a pre-order tool

    Menu & pre-orders

Menus, modifiers and food labels, with fulfillment dates and time slots at checkout.

  • Instead of a quoting tool and a deposit tracker

    Catering & Custom

Line-item quotes, tiered deposits and payment schedules. Accepted quotes become orders.

  • Instead of a separate ticketing app

    Experiences

Ticket tiers and capacity, a guest list, run of show and per-event financials.

  • Instead of a spreadsheet for costs

    Finance Manager

Expenses with receipt scanning, recipe costing, profit and loss, and payouts.

  • Instead of an email tool

    People & email marketing

Contact profiles, audiences, email campaigns and journeys.

  • Instead of separate courier accounts

    Delivery integrations

Uber Direct, DoorDash Drive and Trexity, with live delivery status in one hub.
